About
Disaster risk reduction and management group launched its activities in 2010 following the establishment of the related headquarter office in the health department of the ministry of health sanitation and medical education. This group has worked under the supervision of the headquarter ever since.
In order to advance in the programs of the group which have been planned to attain the following goals in the 19 covered town, the person in charge of the risk reduction management unit was appointed. Health workers trainers, healthcare providers, and health area experts of the group are monitoring and evaluating the expected activities of all operating health units. The expected activities are as following:
- Integrated readiness improvement of the health system in timely, harmonic, and effective responding to man-made and natural disasters
- Inter-sectorial, external interaction and harmony improvement in a clear, coherent and written form. This improvement is on providing health service to the damaged and affected people by the disaster in the direction of synergy and preventing the waste of financial and human sources with the leadership of the health and treatment workgroup at the time of unexpected disasters.
