Nutrition improvement group

About

 In the past years, our country has encountered nutrition transition. As a results non communicable diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, cancers, obesity, blood pressure increase, and cholesterol increase have become widespread alarming. On the other hand, the lack of micronutrients, and protein malnutrition in children and different age groups of the society have made it crucial to pay attention to plan and implement appropriate nutritional interference. The main duty of the group is to improve food safety and nutrition based on the revision of nutrition patterns of the society by means of the improvement of the nutritional composition and health food, and enhancing the accessibility (physical, economic, and cultural) of the Iranian households to safe and favorable and healthy food.

Prevention and control of the disorders caused by lack of iodine
